Company Bios

Acacia Ty Mawr – We are a 35 bed Resident Care Facility working with different stages of Dementia. We employ RN’s, LPN’s Care Aides, Activity Aides and Kitchen Support Services. We are located in Shawnigan Lake just 15mins. outside of Duncan and 20mins north of Victoria.

Amber Education – For over 20 years Amber Education Services Ltd has delivered services in the workforce development industry. We started out providing Entrepreneurship programs, branched into tourism, co-managed a resource centre and then in 2002, refocused our activities to take on the Community Coordinator contract for the Skill Development Employment Benefit. Today, we subcontract services to support the delivery of the EPBC on much of Vancouver island, Chilliwack and Burnaby.

Business Works for Youth provides FREE business training, advice and support to eligible individuals ages 15-29. This Government-funded program is designed to provide the tools needed to take a business idea and develop it into a viable venture.

CareCorp Seniors Services is a contracted services provider to the senior care community in complex care and assisted living settings, providing services including nursing, personal care & support, recreation, professional therapies, food services, housekeeping, laundry and maintenance.

Clements Centre Society is celebrating 60 years of service to the families of the Cowichan Valley! We provide supports and services to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

Cowichan Independent Living is a Disability Resource Centre in the Cowichan Valley. Offering advocacy services, loaning of medical equipment, selling disable parking permit placards as well as offering adaptive sailing and trail rides. We run a sailing program out of Ladysmith harbour every summer.

The Industry Training Authority (ITA) leads and coordinates British Columbia’s skilled trades system. Literacy Now Cowichan provides free 1-2-1 tutoring for adults of the Cowichan Valley who want to increase their literacy in reading, writing, math, speaking and writing in English, filling out forms and using computer technology including cell phones, tablets, laptops and desktops. Literacy Now Cowichan also provides services for a fee to local business and is a partner with Global Vocational Services providing job readiness skills to those needing those skills.
