Labourer – Invasive Species Plant Removal

Iverson Forest Management is presently looking for Labourers to assist in Invasive Species Plant removal for 2017. This will be seasonal work based on availability.

The successful applicants will engage in the removal of noxious plants, through planned strategic management. This may include chemical treatment. Team(s) will check in and out of the main office before moving to mapped locations. Employees must be capable of identifying and targeting specific plants within the plan. As an added opportunity, Wildland Fire Experience and training, may become an option. As options for rotation onto one of our outstanding fire crews becomes available. Competitive wages will be offered.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Physically capable of carrying out the job duties
  • Pesticide Applicator’s Certificate
  • Industrial Vegetation & Noxious Weed
  • Assistant Applicator’s certificate

Would be considered an asset:

  • Previous invasive plant removal experience
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s license
  • Level 1 First aid
  • Power Saw Operator’s Certificate
  • valid S100, and S185
